However, if they have now included your user name (IE @ImmaChocoholic) then the chances of them seeing that you said something directly to them are very remote. Perhaps what you have so say is something you want to keep just between the two of you. In this case you would have to be following each other and send a private DM. (IE D ImmaChocoholic) I believe that if someone has their Twitter account locked to members only that they will see your tweet with their user ID, but they will not be able to respond to that info until they follow you.
